Exams got you frazzled? Don’t know which way is up? Sounds like you need a FREE massage! The Student Program Council is sponsoring Stress Free Zones in the Commons, Mon., Nov. 30 thru Thurs., Dec. 3 at 12:15pm. Get a massage, enjoy some yoga, get a photo taken, build a gingerbread house, wrap up some holiday stress, create spin art, and enjoy healthy munchies. Need more info? Uh-Oh!
The Student Advocates is a new student organization that helps students through the judicial and grievance process on campus. If you are having trouble with a professor or have gotten into trouble on campus, the group meets every Thursday at 6pm in UC124. If you are interested in joining, come to a meeting or send an email.
Open Mic
Take a break from studying on Tues., Dec. 1 at 12:15pm in the Commons at the Student Program Council Open Mic event. Share your thoughts, sing a song, read or compose poetry, or just sit back, relax, and take it all in.
Holiday Fun
IU Southeast students, staff and faculty, with children ages 3-10 (potty-trained), are invited to drop off their little ones and take a much needed break, at the Holiday Fun Parent’s Night Out on Thurs., Dec. 3 from 6 - 8pm in the Children’s Center. Why not go out for dinner, study, or do some early shopping. Basically, RELAX! There will be games, crafts, refreshments, face painting, storytelling and maybe a surprise visit from SANTA. RSVP’s are mandatory so contact Kim Pelle at 941-2650.
Winter Gala
The English Department invites students, staff, faculty and the public to celebrate the student winners of the 2008-2009 IUS Writing Contest at the Winter Gala on Thurs., Dec. 3 at 6:30pm in the Hoosier West. The Gala will include an award ceremony, refreshments, music book sale, art display, and an open mic. You won’t want to miss this one!
Good Cheer
Come out and cheer with the IU Southeast Cheerleaders. This clinic is for children ages 4 years to 5th grade. The cost is $25 for pre-registered cheerleaders. Pre-registration ends November 30 or pay $30 at the door. The clinic on Fri., Dec. 5 at 8:30am will include lunch, t-shirt and a ribbon. The event will be in the Activities Building.
Hoop-de-doo
Start your holiday break with a women’s basketball game as your Grenadiers take on conference rival, Cincinnati Christian. Join the fun on Thurs., Nov. 24 at 7pm in the Activities Building. For game details contact Pat Mrozowski pmrozows@ius.edu

Join the fun and excitement at a back-to-back basketball game. See your men’s and women’s teams in action. On Tues., Dec. 1 the women play at 6pm and the men tip-off at 8pm in the Activities Building.

You asked for it and we’re making it happen – Game Night in the Adult Student Center is tonight at 6pm. Board games, Wii, and a little BINGO will be the main menu for this evening. If you want to get involved with the BINGO games, be sure to bring a little prize ($5.00 limit) as your contribution to the prize pool. There will be cokes and chips for snacking on, and lots of fun.
Cherryholmes in the Ogle
What an opportunity! Cherryholmes has been nominated for a Grammy, had a #1 album, and are Grand Ole Opry regulars. Now they are playing in our very own Ogle Center. Dr, Lucinda Woodward will present for the Psi Chi and Psychology Club her research and experience with previous child soldiers in African Countries on Mon., Nov. 23 at 12:15 in Hillside Hall 104. Dr. Woodward is one of the new psychology professors here at IU Southeast. The first 40 attendees will receive an African beaded bracelet.
